Kingscliff, Tweed Coast

Just north of Byron Bay and an easy 20 minute drive south from the Gold Coast Airport is the family resort town Kingscliff.

This oceanside town has long been popular with NSW and southern Queensland families but now more and more people are choosing this peaceful spot due to its uncrowded beaches, great fishing, village atmosphere and proximity to the Tweed River Valley and the bordering hinterland.

Long overshadowed by Byron Bay, Kingscliff is now acknowledged as one of the fastest growing regions in the Northern Rivers.

Kingscliff also has an emerging reputation as a destination for food lovers. Lining Kingscliff’s main street, Marine Parade, you’ll find various eateries and cafes dishing up some of the region’s best produce from the land and sea for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

If you prefer to cater for yourself, at Kingscliff there is also numerous picnic and barbecue areas spotted along the foreshore. You can spend all day taking in the great views and eating while the kids play for hours.

There are beachside markets held in Kingscliff every second, fourth and fifth Sunday of the month. The markets attract people from throughout the region and offer a huge variety of stalls, entertainment and amusements for every visitor.
